This week's ResKids Newsletter was printed and mailed out to the kids today. Check your mailbox (not inbox) in a few days for a special issue with memory verse, colouring contest, build your own SPAM and more on hunger in Canada and around the world. (*Update: for those of you who are still waiting for their copy of the newsletter, you can also download a copy here.)
There are some facts about world hunger and poverty in the newsletter but you may find that your children are interested in finding out more about this important topic. Here are a couple of websites to check out.

DRAWING OR COLOURING CONTEST
Spam Cat is lonely, and wants to have a friend to play with. Your task: DRAW or COLOUR Spam Cat a friend.
DRAW
Pick a type of canned food and draw it with or as an animal, like Spam Cat himself.
COLOUR
Pick either the Spam Cat or Spam Can to colour in. Be creative with your colour patterns so that you have a different and a one-of-a-kind design!!
We'll share your COLOURING sheets or DRAWINGS in the ResKids Newsletter and you'll be entered into a draw for prizes!! Entries are due by November 12, 2020 and you can email a photo or scan of your original work to Kat.
FOLD YOUR OWN SPAM BOX
Peter designed this really neat SPAM box for you to print, cut out and fold. Video instructions will be uploaded in a few days but meanwhile, if you want to try figuring it out yourself, here's a hint:
Dotted Lines = Valley Folds
Solid Lines = Mountain Folds
