No Other Gospel

This week we start our new series on the book of Galatians. Paul wrote this book in response to false teachers who were confusing and distorting the gospel within the church of Galatia. In his letter, he makes clear the truth of the gospel and declares what God has done in Jesus Christ for sinners. Paul wants his audience to know, without a doubt, God's amazing grace.

In addition to the teaching of Galatians, we'll also introduce the kids to Paul's life and journey. Each week, I will post lesson notes that include the Bible passage, discussion questions and resources on the blog.

Starting this month, rather than releasing a weekly printable for kids, we will mail out an activity booklet once a month with a summary of lessons and other fun tidbits!

ResKids lesson for January 10:

January BIG Idea:

 Bible Memory Verse:

For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.    Ephesians 2: 8-9, ESV

Bible Passages:

Galatians 1, Acts 9

Discussion Questions:

For younger kids:

1. Who is Paul?

2. Why did he write the letter to the church of Galatia?

3. Have you ever received a blessing or gift that you didn't deserve? (Just like the boy who got into trouble at school).

For older kids:

 1. How did Paul's encounter with Jesus change his entire life?

2. Why did Paul write the letter to the church of Galatia?

3. How would you describe "grace" in your own words?
